“Natsu Nandesu” - A Japanese Cultural Festival in Zurich

The warmth of summer invites us to come together. Join us for a joyful weekend inspired by the vibrant traditions of Japanese summer festivals — right here in Zurich.
Let’s gather, explore, taste, create, and enjoy the sunshine as a community.

This celebration is rooted in something simple and heartfelt: the desire to share. Japanese food, culture, craft, and seasonal traditions come to life through this event, offering a rare moment to connect with others during Switzerland’s fleeting summer months.

In a world where both individuals and societies are constantly evolving, we reflect on what should grow and change—and what should be honored and preserved. For those of us who create through food, design, performance, or storytelling, every chance to share our work is meaningful.

And at the core of it all:
Let’s enjoy this moment—together.

The summer festival was first launched in 2021
with the goal of introducing Japanese cultural traditions to a wider audience through a warm, festive atmosphere. Together, we brought to life a vision of cross-cultural exchange and creative celebration.

From 2022 through 2024, the festival grew steadily — welcoming more makers, more visitors, and more collaborative spirit each year.

We invite everyone — cooks, makers, artists, and visitors — who believe in the joy of creativity and cultural connection to join us for another unforgettable summer. Let’s continue growing, sharing, and celebrating — together.

The fifth edition of the summer festival brings this spirit to life once again, transforming the Pavillon’s lush garden, open-air terrace, and light-filled dining hall into a vibrant celebration of seasonal flavors and creative exchange.

With our location just steps from the Letzigrund tram stop, and a layout that opens to the summer breeze, we offer a setting where gastronomy, culture, and connection come together.
